UsrGrpChk :

User Group Consolidation Tool
This tool let's you, on a NDS-TREE, a specific context or a specific object ("user" or "group"),
check and/or repair links between User's "group membership" and Goup's "Member", and vice versa.

For the moment the tool let you check and repair by either choosing a context or selecting a user object or a group object :

  1. Selecting a context :
For the moment the application will only check this way : make a list all membership of each users, then for all group in that list will check if the user is in. (In a "near" future it will also do that with group.)
  2. Selecting a user object :
Make a list all membership of that user, then for all group in that list will check if the user is in.
  3. Selecting a group object :
Make a list all member of that group, then for all user in that list will check if the group is in.

This tool will never suppress membership, it will only add if asked for "Repair".

Install :
 -> setup.exe <-

Have a look to the folowing schema, representing what happens when a user is added to a group or a group to a user.
Example (1) :
Open user object, select «group membership» and add a group object. (Blue arrow represent automatic properties update done by NWAdmin or ConsoleOne)
Example (2) :
Open group object, select «member» and add a user object. (Green arrow represent automatic properties update done by NWAdmin or ConsoleOne)
I have noticed, (and it iseems I'm not alone), that at a certain time the link between group and user diseapear. I mean
you look in a User object U1 he is memeber of group G1, G2 and G3; and when checking into G1, U1 is well in member list, but not in G3, for example, and this seems always to be that way (not the oposit, I mean G3 not in U1 membership),
is it crystal clear ?

Thus, the meaning to is to re-establish link between User and Group objects with that tool.

Interface without logfile

PS : The software only add information in an object, it won't remove "membership"
